When expanding facilities, reliable climate control is essential to keep patrons comfortable and operations running smoothly. For Northern Beaches Bowls Club, we upgraded the air conditioning and refrigeration systems to match their new Pokies Area, Sports Bar, refurbished Entry/Lounge and Administration spaces.
Scope of Works
The project included:
Energy-efficient rooftop package units for the Pokies Area, Sports Bar and Entry/Lounge
Chiller and chilled water air handling units to deliver preconditioned fresh air
Refrigeration upgrades across Bar, Bottle Shop, Keg Room, Kitchen Cold Rooms, Kitchen Freezer, Cake Fridges and Glass Coolers
All systems were designed to improve comfort, maintain food and beverage safety requirements and provide ongoing support for operational efficiency.
Staged Delivery to Support Operations
Some existing equipment had to remain operational during the works. Services were carefully routed through ceilings in active areas, minimising disruption to the Club’s daily operations. A key milestone was hoisting all major rooftop equipment safely into position, ensuring timely commissioning without impacting the venue’s activities.
Compliance, Safety + Quality
With high-traffic public spaces, strict compliance with safety standards was critical. Experienced site staff maintained quality control throughout the installation, reducing defects and delivering a fully commissioned system ready for independent verification. The result is a reliable, energy-conscious air conditioning and refrigeration solution designed to support the Club’s long-term expansion plans while keeping members and staff comfortable.
